early effort at systematic self-improvement be embodied in a HyperCard enviroment. Franklin,as you will see if you read the cards here, eventually used a memorandum book with ivory leaves so that he would not have to keep re-creating his template. Naturally he would have certainly used HyperCard had it been available.
     Those who wish may consider this an historical curiosity. This part of the Autobiography is certainly one of the earliest, secular, self-help publications in our history. Though not by any means one of the last!
     Some may even find it to be of use today. The readiness to hope that a person can change not only the world around them but even their own character is perhaps the most heroic, some would of course say naive, aspects of the American temperment. 
    Naturally as a HyperCard™ template you have the opportunity to adjust the format to your own goals.
